Wikipedia as a translation tool
Wikipedia, the free online encyclopedia, could be also used as very helpful tool for translations of specialized texts of all kinds. Wikipedia meanwhile is availiable in almost 100 languages, e.g. in English (908.334), German (338.628), Hebrew (30.283), Russian (51.875), Polish (158.305) and in French, the native language of the Encyclopédistes (219.747 articles). You send a query for a term in your mother tongue or another language you are familiar with. When the article has appeared you just enter the navigation border
and choose your target language. With a little luck you reach the topic you are looking for and find relevant terms, phrases, synonyms and abbreviations in the context of the subject.
